Open Mic with the DEAN
Tuesday, August 19, 2008

August 5, 2008

The date “5” used to be a special day. But now, after a few months, it means nothing. It’s just an ordinary day. Hapon na nga nung naalala kong “five” ngayon ee.

Anyway, I had my Hepa B booster vaccine. And in fairness, ang cute ni kuya nurse sa clinic. Ehe.

Anyway, going back, we had our open mic with the DEAN. I really admire Dean Annabelle Borromeo. She never fails to inspire us and at the same time, she always makes us laugh. She shares not only her knowledge but also her funny jokes.

She also told us about Roxanne Celestial’s (perhaps most, if not all 4th year Nursing students in FEU know her) story. And this inspired me to appreciate life, my course, God’s blessing and his plans why he put me in nursing profession. I’m determined to try and work harder.

I also noted something that the dean said:

“Nobody can tell you if how bad or good you are. It only becomes true when you believe in it and you act on it.”

The goal of FEU-IN for this batch is 3-5-90. And I know I’ll be part of that 90%.
