Earlier, while having dinner and watching the television, I said “Hindi man lang nya natupad pangarap ng tatay nya”. Then my mom said, “ako kaya, matupad?”, I would usually answer her with “don’t worry mom, ako tutupad sa pangarap mo”. Pero kanina, I just remained silent.
If I would stare at my dream checklist, 80% of it is for my parents. I constantly had a lucid view of what I would like to attain, for myself and for my family. Hindi kami isang kahig isang tuka, we can eat 4 times a day, study in private schools, buy our desires and needs. Pero syempre, it’s not wrong naman to dream big right? Shoot for the moon, so when you fall, you would still land on the stars.
But lately, I’ve been vague about a lot of things, indecisive or scared. Few months from now, I will be graduating BSN. Then after that, what? Will I pass the board exams? If I fail, it would break my heart to let down my parents. If I pass, where will I go? I want to achieve great things and do a lot of things. But the question is, how?
I don’t desire for a fairy tale life; I just want a better life for my loved ones.
