The Truth
Saturday, June 13, 2009

So, I just told my mom that I lost my phone. Photobucket
She got heated Photobucket for about 4 seconds I think.

The story I told her is slightly revised.
I wonder if how lengthy Photobucket her fury is if I told her the whole un-edited version of the story. Photobucket

Kuya Z, if you’re reading this, just don’t tell mom please. I’ll wait patiently for the phone that you will give me.

Non-judgmental Nurse
Wednesday, March 18, 2009

The past few weeks have been hell for our batch; major exam, revalida, concept exams, defense, submission of requirements, and so on. Graduation is fast approaching and the pressure is all over the atmosphere. But due to some circumstances, some of us are not qualified to graduate this April 7 (we are still hoping).

It must be an extremely difficult time for them, imagine, you are a month away from graduation then suddenly they will tell you that you can not graduate? It’s like your entire dream would come crashing down in front of you after four long years of hard work. It must be really disappointing and disheartening, if I am in that situation, I do not know what to do.

Detrimental events in our lives like this would really have an immense impact in our emotional, physiological and psychological state, the reason why some people are able to commit some slip-ups.

I believe that one vital characteristic of a competent nurse is being non-judgmental; to patients who underwent a detrimental event in their lives like rape victims, abused patients, to psychiatric patients and to who ever patient is in front of you.

It pissed me off to see some people exhibit unsuitable attitudes in times and situations like these. They judged the person without trying to understand the situation. And they dishonored the person’s right to privacy and confidentiality. No empathy and non-therapeutic.

If as early as months before the Board exam, these people act like this, how much more if they are already Registered Nurses? Shame on you people.

Fluky Friday the 13th
Friday, March 13, 2009

Yesterday, I was able to commit an inadvertent mistake, a false move that troubled me until this afternoon.

Good thing, everything went better when I arrived at school. I guess it’s not Friday the 13th misfortune at all.

I was finally able to drop my Victoball at the Victometer and got my INSTITUTE OF NURSING CERTIFIED ASSET pin!

And I have faith that I passed the LMR concept exam.

And I was happy for my friends who passed the Remedial exam. But also felt dreadful for my friends and classmates who are going to re-take the remedial exam. But just be positive, I have faith in you guys.

I already felt better, but that thing still bothers me a little. So help me God.
